Caitean air Uachdar Loch Eiriosort

Ruaraidh MacThòmais
Derick Thomson

Caitean air uachdar Loch Eiriosort
’s an t-anmoch ann,
bha an latha samraidh fada,
gruth is bàrr a’ coinneachadh:
tha an gaol a leanas fada
duilich a chur an cèill.

Translations of this Poem

A Ruffling on the Surface of Loch Erisort

A ruffling on the surface of Loch Erisort
at evening,
the summer day was long,
crowdie and cream meeting:
love that lasts long
is hard to put into words.
