The 35 bus stops on Canongate (Royal Mile).
Parking
Crichton’s Close parking restrictions (double yellow lines) do not allow parking at any time-unless you are a blue badge holder and it is displayed-although unloading is allowed.
It is not possible to drive from the Canongate (Royal Mile) into Crichton’s Close, although taxis are usually willing to stop on the Canongate beside Crichton’s Close to let passengers out (ask the driver to stop at Starbucks). Taxis and other cars can also drive up to the close from Holyrood Road: ask the driver to find the Maycheelin Asian Chinese supermarket on Holyrood Road, then turn up Gentle’s Entry and bear right into Crichton’s Close.

Dynamic Earth also has 10 parking bays for vehicles with a disabled pass. Please note that parking access for wheelchair users is limited to when the building itself is open, and access involves 2 lifts. Low emission zone
The Scottish Poetry Library is within the Edinburgh low emission zone (LEZ). The LEZ operates continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It applies to all vehicles except those that are entitled to an exemption. Motorcycles and mopeds are also exempt. You can find more detailed information here. The LEZ is indicated (in blue) in the map below.
