Can I borrow books?

The Scottish Poetry Library is a unique national resource and advocate for the enriching art of poetry. It offers a free lending service for UK residents. Fill in the form below to join the library. If you don’t live in Edinburgh, you can use our Postal Loan Service which we have provided free of charge since lockdown started.

There are currently no plans to reintroduce charging for postal loans. However if you’re a disabled person or you work in education please tell us when you complete the registration form and we will ensure your membership states you are permanently entitled to free postal loans.

An urrainn dhomh leabhraichean fhaighinn air iasad?

’S urrainn. ’S e goireas nàiseanta air leth, agus tagraiche airson ealan na bàrdachd, a th’ ann an Leabharlann Bàrdachd na h-Alba. ’S urrainnear leabhraichean fhaighinn air iasad an-asgaidh. Mas ann anns an RA a tha sibh, ’s urrainn dhuibh a bhith nur n-iasadaiche le bhith a’ lìonadh an fhoirm gu h-ìosal. Mur eil sibh a’ fuireach an Dùn Èideann, ’s urrainn dhuibh an Seirbheis Iasad Puist a chleachdadh, le cosgais £2 gach rud a gheibh thu air iasad. Ma tha ciorram oirbh, no mas e tidsear a th’ annaibh, tha seo cuideachd an-asgaidh.

Dè thachras às dèidh seo?

Cuiridh sinn càirt leabharlainn thugaibh anns a’ phost, agus bidh e comasach dhuibh an uair sin rudan fhaighinn air iasad tro bhith a’ clàradh a-steach agus a’ cleachdadh ar catalog air-loidhne. Mur eil e comasach dhuibh tighinn a-steach dhan Leabharlann, thèid againn air leabhraichean a chur thugaibh tron phost.
