Misg-fhoghair

Calum L MacLeòid
Calum MacLeod

Bhreab sinn tuill nar brògan fhèin
agus slighe ghogach tro threallaich na bliadhna
a’ dannsadh, coma nar fòirneart,
air mullach na leig na craobhan às
nuair a thilg iad an cinn, a’ crathadh le gàire sa ghaoth
na mì..tean neo-aithnichte chaochailte dhiubh,

thug sinn an deagh bhreab dhaibh
mar a thoireacdh do dh’achlaisean coigreaich

thàinig an liath-reothadh oirre as t-earrach
agus chaill sinn uainead na bliadhna
glaiste nar ranntairean ceadaichte glas

thug sinn an deagh breab dhaibh
tuill nar brògan fhèin
ach slighe, air choireigin,
slighe a dh’àiteigin

Iarraidh an geamhraidh ort
Dè na rinn thu as t-sàmhradh?
thuirt am fear-taisteal dhuinn
mus an do thog e air
ar n-aire agus a’ ghaoth bho thuath go leantainn
agus na craobhan rùisgte
a’ sùgradh os ar cionn

About this poem

Chaidh an dàn seo a thaghadh airson nan Dàn Albannach as Fheàrr 2022. ‘S e foillseachadh air loidhne a th’ ann an Dàin Albannach as Fheàrr, a’ toirt a-steach 5 dhàn air an taghadh le neach-deasachaidh fa leth gach bliadhna, le aithris aig an neach-deasachaidh is na bàird. Bheir e foir-shealladh pearsanta air bliadhna bàrdachd na h-Alba. Ann an 2022 b’ e Peigi MacVicar neach-deasachaidh na Gàidhlig.

Earrann an Neach-deasachaidh:
‘S ann mu dhèidhinn nan glasaidhean-shluaigh a tha a’ phìos seo, mar a bha iad a’ faireachdainn seach cò ris a bha iad coltach. Sgrìobh mi tòrr bàrdachd tron phandemic agus cha b’fhiach a’ mhòr chuid dheth mar bhàrdachd, ged a bha e na chuideachadh dhomh aig àm doirbh. Ach tha mi toilichte leis a’ phìos seo.

Earrann an Ùghdair:
Tha Calum L. MacLeòid a gabhail ri doilleireachd, carachas agus neo-shoilleireachd and am ‘Misg-fhoghair.’ ’S e seo dàn a tha a’ dèanamh iomradh air na ràithean fhad ’s a tha sinn a’ triall tron oidhche le drongairean – rud nach eil furasta idir a chruthachadh ann an sgrìobhadh. Le “deagh bhreab” tha sinn a’ siubhal bho dannsa gu cnuasachadh gu iongnadh, a’ faireachdainn saorsa na h-oidhche agus an uairsin na smuain is ceistean a nochdas nuair a tha sinn saor on smùid. Tha sinn air ar cumail air a’ chuairt seo gun fhiosta dè tha dol a nochdadh, a’ toirt an cothrom dhuinn a dhol air seachran air “slighe, air choireigin, / slighe a dh’àiteigin.”
