Tynecastle

Donald Campbell

I never get doun to Tynecastle thae days
It’s a guid lang while nou sen I’ve been
I never get doun to Tynecastle thae days
– tho they’re saying they hae a guid team.
But the team that I mind
is the team of langsyne
when we swept aa the prizes awa
and the boys in maroon
were the pride of the toun
the best lauds that e’er kicked a baw!
I’m thinking of Parker and Broun and Big Tam…
Aw, the thousands that cheered them aa on!
And my thochts haud them yet
for I’ll never forget
My Bauld
and My Wardhaugh
and My Conn.
