Some friendly soul, quite near old age,
/ when time to think is plenty, sits,
/ still spry enough, beneath an olive tree,
/ to take…
Thocht brutall beistis be irrationall –
/ That is to say, wantand discretioun –
/ Yet ilk ane in thair kynd naturall
/ Hes mony divers…
