Jill Mackintosh

Head Librarian
About me: I was born in Dundee and grew up in Perth. I graduated from Robert Gordon University with a degree in Librarianship and Information Studies, and I went straight to work in Perth and Kinross library service, where I remained until 2018. I worked in a variety of roles and at different levels in both frontline and support services. I developed a passion for ensuring delivery of excellent customer service and making the public library as accessible as possible. In the last ten years I have gained knowledge and experience working with groups that represented child protection, equalities and diversity, or adult literacy.
My favourite poets are: Norman MacCaig, Michael Pedersen, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Leonard Cohen, John Cooper Clarke, John Hegley
When not at work you’ll find me: Reading, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with my grandchildren.
