A selection of Portuguese poems by Eugénio de Andrade, with new translations in Shetlandic by Christine De Luca and illustrations by John Cumming.

The pamphlet also features English versions of the poems by Alexis Levitin.

Christine De Luca lives in Edinburgh. She writes in English and Shetlandic, her mother tongue. She was appointed Edinburgh’s Makar for 2014-2017. She has had seven poetry collections and five bi-lingual volumes published, in French, Italian, Icelandic, Norwegian and English).

She is a founding member of Hansel Cooperative Press, a not-for-profit group which promotes writing and art projects in Orkney and Shetland.

John Cumming is a sculptor, graphic artist and illustrator. He has exhibited widely across the UK and in Europe. Born in Burra Isle, Shetland, he now lives in Stromness, Orkney.
