Sally Evans is a poet, publisher, editor and poetry blogger.

She has run her own press, Diehard, and was the editor of Poetry Scotland broadsheet for over 20 years while hosting the annual Poetry Weekend in Callander, where she lives.

She has published six collections and several pamphlets of her own work. Since learning Gaelic, she has done a number of translations- including the title poem in Christopher Whyte’s Bho Leabhar-Latha Maria Malibran/ From the Diary of Maria Malibran (Acair, 2009).

In 2021, Sally published a poetic novel, Wildgoose (Red Squirrel Press), which hosts some notable characters, such as Hugh MacDiarmid, Basil Bunting. The same year, she was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Poetry in Scotland Award, the judges noting among other accolades, that she had given ‘voice to countless poets as the editor of Poetry Scotland broadsheet, 1997-2018′.
