Russell Jones

b.1984

Russell is seated in what appears to be the garden section of a DIY store; he sports a t-shirt and suit jacket combo while wearing giving a pensive look through a pair of heavy-rimmed glasses
POEMS LISTEN BIBLIOGRAPHY

Russell Jones has published six poetry collections with Scottish publishers (Freight, Tapsalteerie, Forest Publications) and edited three poetry anthologies including Umbrellas of Edinburgh: poetry and prose inspired by Scotland’s capital city. He has organised and hosted around a hundred live literary events in Scotland, many of which were poetry-centred with a focus on including writers from marginalised groups. Jones has performed poetry in many venues around Scotland for around twenty years and he has a PhD in Creative Writing from The University of Edinburgh – his research on Edwin Morgan’s sci-fi poetry has contributed to the academic field in journal publications and by providing one of Morgan’s last spoken interviews (publicly available through the Edwin Morgan Trust).
