Primarily a poet, Cheryl Follon's latest collection, Santiago, was published by Bloodaxe in 2017. She was runner up in The Spectator's Shiva Naipaul Memorial Prize for travel writing in 2012. She has mentored for the Scottish Book Trust, lectures in Glasgow, and a good deal of her free time is spent travelling. Her poems and other writing have appeared in The Scotsman, The Herald, and on BBC Radio 4 among other places. Her first two Bloodaxe collections are Dirty Looks (2010) and All Your Talk (2004).
