Cheryl Follon

b.1978

POEMS

Cheryl Follon’s most recent collection, Santiago, was published by Bloodaxe Books in 2017.

She was born and raised in Ayrshire and studied Law and German at Glasgow University before taking an MPhil in Creative Writing at Trinity College Dublin. Cheryl has spent the past ten years teaching in Glasgow and has experience working with mature students, learners returning to education after a long time away, and BA (Hons) dissertation students among many other groups. She is also an inveterate traveller, seeking out new places as well revisiting old favourites.

Cheryl’s earlier collections are Dirty Looks (2010) and All Your Talk (2004) and she was runner-up in The Spectator‘s Shiva Naipaul Memorial Prize for travel writing in 2012.
