Skipping Song

Lorna Irvine

Ma sister’s Spiderwoman
Lugs, een and neb (touch ears, eyes and nose)
Trap you, zap you
In her siller (silver) web.

Ma Granny’s the Queen o’ France
Hands on yer head (hands on your head)
Crimson goon, gowden shoon
Sleeps in a four-poster bed.

Ma mammy’s Flora MacDonald
Row your boat fairly (mime rowing a boat)
Speed bonny boat, keep us afloat
Bairns or Bonnie Chairlie.

Point to Supergirl (point to a friend)
… is her name (call her name)
Caw her in afore I’m oot
1, 2, 3, 4 … (she joins you in the rope before you reach 10)
I’m awa hame. (you leave)

Make up a skipping rhyme for your heroine!
