Gwirionedd

Casia Wiliam

Ti’n cofio bod yn saith.
Hufen iâ a chwarae yn nefoedd. Syml. Ffaith.
Heddiw, mae dy galon yn gwybod bod un
sy’n mynnu dy sylw yn dy wneud di yn rywun
a ti’n gwybod â phob atom o dy fod bod y teimlad yn wir.
Ond fory, neu drennydd neu dradwy fydd hyn yr un mor glir?
Neu a ddaw’r oriau beunyddiol a phrofiadau newydd rhai all dy newid yn feddyliol yn gorfforol yn
gwneud i ti dyfu yn gwneud i ti feddwl
yn gwneud i ti weld gwirionedd gwahanol?

National Poetry Day 2019

Translations of this Poem

Truth

You remember being nine.
Ice cream and friends and everything’s fine. Simple. Fact.
Today you know that there’s one
who makes your heart beat who makes your heart sing
and you know this is real you feel it right in your being.
But tomorrow, or the day after is this still what you’ll be seeing?
Or will each second each hour provide you with new experiences
that could change your body your mind
make you grow make you think make you find
a different truth?
