Filmpoem 41 / The Emancipation of the Knee

Alastair Cook

“This film was a commission from Belgian literary magazine, Deus Ex Machina. The poet Han van der Vegt has read the poem in English, and the cinematography is by James William Norton. Han is a terrific poet. Electro-acoustic sound by Luca Nasciuti. The film fits (in it’s native Dutch form) into a magazine that Deus Ex Machina kindly named after my project, Filmpoem.

The genre of poetry-film is really something to behold now.” {Alastair Cook}
