Èistibh

Anna Frater

Mura h-urrainn dhuinn earbsa a chur anns na naidheachdan
                a leughas sinn
                no a chluinneas sinn
                no a chì sinn

nach biodh e cho math dhuinn
gach inneal a chur dheth
agus èisteachd ri buille
ar cridhe fhèin?

Feuch an tigeadh guth
tron t-sàmhchair.

Translations of this Poem

Listen

If we can’t trust the news
that we read
or hear
or watch

are we not as well
to switch off the devices
and listen to the beat
of our own hearts?

Maybe a voice will come
out of the silence.

About this poem
