Eilean Phabail

Anna Frater

Mar thusa, tha mise
’ nam dhà leth;
a’ seòladh air cuan
ged a tha mi ceangailte
ri creagan m’àraich;
uaine agus flùran
‘ a sreap gu grian
agus nèamh;
creagan donn a’bàthadh
fo mhuir agus feamainn
agus dorchadas.

Faisg air daoine:
gan coimhead,
gan cluinntinn,
ach cha ruig iad orm –
tha mi ro fhad’ air falbh.

Chan urrainn dhomh fàgail,
chan urrainn dhomh tilleadh,
’ s cha tig an dà leth ri chèile.
