Tracey S. Rosenberg
Tracey S. Rosenberg grew up in the United States and now lives in Edinburgh. Her poetry has been widely published in journals and anthologies, including New Writing Scotland, Best Scottish Poems, and JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Association). Her short story “May the Bell Be Rung for Harriet!” won the Bronté Society creative competition and was published in Best British Short Stories.
She’s won a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust, a Fulbright scholarship in creative writing, and four Creative Scotland grants (including an Endless Different Ways grant for the Muriel Spark centenary). From 2019-2021 she was Writer in Residence at the University of Edinburgh.
She’s performed her work internationally, including at the Scottish and Swedish national poetry slams and the Edinburgh International Book Festival, and is a regular performer at open mics and slams in Edinburgh and further afield. She’s volunteered with a variety of literary festivals.
She’s published three poetry pamphlets: Lipstick is Always a Plus (Stewed Rhubarb Press, 2012), The Naming of Cancer (Neon, 2014), and The Soup of My Ancestors (Stewed Rhubarb Press, 2022). Her full-length collection, Secondary, came out in 2019 from Red Squirrel Press. She’s currently working on a new collection, Unrequited War Trauma, about heartbreak and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
