Fras Publications

Fras Publications was established in 2004 as an adjunct to Fras, a roughly bi-annual literary journal.

We publish pamphlets of poetry, prose and interviews, and occasionally longer poetry collections.  Our emphasis is on Scottish writing within an international context and we welcome poetry in English, Scots and Gaelic, and translations both from and into these and other languages.

Fras has published these Scottish poets:

D.M. Black
Donald Campbell
William Hershaw
Walter Perrie
Tessa Ransford (interview)
Kenneth White (essay)

Many other Scottish poets have been represented in Fras magazine, 2004-2011.

Scottish poetry titles

Fras published the following Scottish poetry titles in 2011:

William Hershaw and Walter Perrie, Double First: Poems
William Hershaw, Happyland

Submission guidelines

Many of our poetry publications arise from our contacts through Fras magazine, but we are always open to submissions of work in any of Scotland’s languages, and to translations.  Our sole criterion is quality.
