Biography

Summary

Stephanie Green is a poet, freelance creative writing tutor and workshop facilitator, now based in Edinburgh. 

Full Biography

Stephanie Green, born in Sussex, is of Irish/English parentage. She was educated at Trinity College, Dublin (1970), with a Masters in Modernism (in Literature and Fine Art) from Kent University (1978) and an M.Phil in Creative Writing from Glasgow University (2004). Her novel The Triple Spiral, was published by Walker Books in1989. Her poems have been published in a variety of literary magazines, and in several anthologies, including Into the Forest: an anthology of tree poems (2013) and Signal (2016). She has published three pamphlets, the most recent being  Flout, inspired by Shetland landscape, folklore and culture, published by HappenStance in 2015.

She has taught at all levels, and is now freelance.  She moved to Edinburgh in late 1999. She has received a New Writers' Award and several other  bursaries from Creative Scotland.
