Since 2005, Sam Meekings has lived and travelled in various parts of China, working as a teacher and editor. He has twice been long listed for an Eric Gregory Award. His debut novel, Under Fishbone Clouds, was published by Polygon in 2009, and The Book of Crows in 2011.
