Biography
Summary
Aberdeen born, Maureen Sangster has lived in Scotland all her life except for three years spent teaching English in Nigeria. She has worked in mental health, stroke rehab, adult literacy and as a tutor with The Workers’ Educational Association. She has recently completed a conversion to primary teaching. She writes in Scots and English. Her third poetry collection, Menopausal Bedtime Rhymes, won the 2007 Callum Macdonald Award for poetry pamphlet publishing. From 1999–2000, she was Writer in Residence at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. She lives in Fife.
