Lesley Harrison has worked and travelled in some of the world's more remote places, and through her poems explores how it is to live in these environments. She now works in Sutherland. She recently spent a year in Mongolia and China; her second poetry pamphlet, One Bird Flying, was written then. It was runner-up in the 2010 Callum Macdonald Pamphlet Award. Ecstatics: a language of birds was published by Brae Editions in 2011.
