Anne MacLeod lives on the Black Isle with her husband, four children and two dogs. A dermatologist by profession, she has published two collections of poetry, Standing by Thistles (Scottish Cultural Press, 1997) and Just the Caravaggio (Poetry Salzburg, 1999). Her novel The Dark Ship was published in 2001 by Eleven/Nine and her second novel The Blue Moon Book  by Luath in 2004.
