April 2014

You heard it here first:  the theme for this year's National Poetry Day, on Thursday 2 October, is REMEMBERING.

Just so you know. Memory, memorising, remembrance... an obvious WWI-friendly theme if you need it, but it'll work in other topics from reminiscence groups to revision techniques.

And now, on with the show.

What should I buy?

A particularly fine catch of Scottish or Scottish-domiciled poets in this month's new titles - as well as a bumper selection of material in translation, and Bloodaxe's chunky and brand new anthology of poetry on war.

Poetry for you to print

So we were thinking of having poem posters on topics like chocolate, bunnies, eggs and chickens, but...  Take a look at our alternative Easter-related posters and see what you think.
