December 2014

Thought-provoking, generous and a offering a fresh perspective: like every good library, we try for all three. Disability History Month posters, festive (poster) gifts, and a small stocking-worth  of new titles to round off the year.

What should I buy?

The new titles selection for this month is particularly strong in anthologies of new poetry and emerging writers, as well as a large list of excellent collections and collecteds by individual poets.

Poetry for you to print: Disability History Month

Disability History Month runs from 22 November - 22 December. This year's theme is 'War and Impairment', so there's one poster from Jean Guthrie-Smith's poem about a shellshock victim returning home;  there's also one from Hamish Whyte which gives a gentle spin on hearing loss. Poetry for you to print: Gifts, giving (and gift tags) #I

Here are four new posters about gifts and giving, in time for the festive season... Click here for all our new posters

Poetry for you to print: Gifts, giving (and gift tags) #2

... And here are images of the same posters, in small and in teeny-tiny size, ready to print off as tree decorations or gift tags or very, very economically sized cards.
