I Came From the Unknown To Sing

Ghazi Hussein is a Palestinian poet born in exile in Syria. He was first imprisoned at 14, and over the next 20 years of periodic imprisonment and torture was never charged but held 'guilty of carrying thoughts'.

He talks about his experience and his poetry in this moving, sometimes harrowing, film commissioned by the SPL from filmmaker Roxana Vilk.
