Easy Morning Poems: Yvonne Reddick

Yvonne Reddick was born in Glasgow and grew up in Aberdeen, Berkshire and Kuwait. She won a Northern Writer’s Award for poetry in 2016. Her poems have appeared in magazines such as Stand and Shearsman, and been translated into Greek and Swedish. She lives in Manchester and works as an academic researcher and lecturer. Her book Ted Hughes: Environmentalist and Ecopoet is forthcoming from Palgrave Macmillan. Yvonne’s poetry pamphlet Translating Mountains won the Mslexia Poetry Pamphlet Prize, and is forthcoming from Seren.

Easy Morning Poems reading group sessions take one poet and a clutch of his or her poems. It's suitable for people who both know the poet under discussion well or known nothing about them. The sessions are relaxed, comfortable and an excellent way to start the weekend.

Please note: the poet will not be present in person, only through their words.

The SPL is fully accessible, with a ground-floor entrance and a lift that accesses all three floors. There is one adapted toilet on the basement floor. Guide and hearing dogs are welcome. A portable audio loop is available for single user; if you need a multi-user loops system, please let us know as far as possible in advance.
